Texture Project

"July" by Paul Resika

In this project we had to recreate a painting with texture.
I recreated this using cardboard, plastic bags, paper, newspaper, brochures, a price tag from Rue 21, an envelope, stamps, paint, felt, and other random materials.

Value Project

In this project we had to create a value scale with 11 different steps between white and black.

Group Project

In this project we had to all create an image that depicts spacial illusion and depth by either overlapping, size, aerial perspective, vertical location, or linear perspective.
My project was to show depth by vertical location.

Shapes Project

In this project we were to create two separate designs, one rectilinear (only geometric shapes) and the other curvilinear.

Line Project

In this project we had to find lines (actual, implied, and psychic) in places around campus.

Line Sketches

Thumbnails, Roughs and Comps

Thumbnails are created to get help formulate an idea
Roughs are created to better establish an idea and to begin to focus on a final design.
Comps are a final concept for a design a step away from completion.

Brainstorming - Idea Trees

These idea trees we created were to practice the art of brainstorming.
